OCVA Sales and Marketing Manager
The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) is hiring a Destination Sales and Marketing Manager.
Our vision to create “A coastal utopia for all,” will be fulfilled through our Mission to “Inspire travel & strengthen collaboration to create & steward a sustainable coastal economy.”
Successful candidates will find themselves living at the coast and working in a fun and fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges. If you are ready to build a rewarding profession in a rapidly growing industry, this position might be for you.
Notice: This is not a traditional marketing position selling corporate ‘widgets.’ This position develops highly collaborative inspirational and instructional campaigns in a region with seven counties, 29 incorporated cities, dozens of villages; often putting the needs of communities above our own agency’s in-house metrics. Campaigns must consider such things as the impacts of visitation, the character of our small towns, and public safety. The person in this position will equally value on-the-ground visitor behavior data equally to data on travel trends, and visitor planning habits.
Therefore, we are searching for a destination marketing professional with a commitment to responsible visitation that can handle complex campaigns and relationships with a ‘can do’ attitude. Our tourism world is always changing and our need to continuously adapt is paramount. Therefore, we seek an intuitive team player who deals well with transitional environments and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
