In order to champion impactful workforce solutions, Northwest Oregon Works acts as a catalyst in workforce development to provide leadership, create connections, foster partnerships, and make investments that address the employment needs of individuals and the business community.

WHAT WE DO

Strategies for individuals and business owners

Northwest Oregon Works invests Federal, State, and Local funds into individual career development and businesses to bridge the gap between employers and prospective employees in Benton, Clatsop, Columbia, Lincoln, and Tillamook counties. This improves our local economies by placing hundreds of individuals into trainings, programs, and permanent career paths.

Innovations

Innovation is a key strategy for Northwest Oregon Works. We pursue promising practices and programs that can be scaled up, develop strategic partnerships in support of workforce initiatives and we lead efforts that result in employment advancement.

Impacts

High impact workforce solutions are important for the communities we serve. NOW mobilizes opportunities that support critical industry sectors, foster the development of career pathways for youth and adults, and educate communities about the workforce services available.

Investments

A primary role of NOW is Investor. We focus on data to prioritize our investments, optimize the return on investment through sound resource management, and aggressively pursue opportunities to increase resources for workforce development in the local area.

Did you know? NOW’s primary behavioral health partner organization is InterCommunity Heath Network CCO.

InterCommunity Health Network CCO (IHN-CCO) has been a pivotal partner in advancing our behavioral health initiatives since 2022. This collaboration has significantly enhanced our capacity to serve the community and develop skilled professionals in the field.
